The London Olympic Infrastructure on Horse Guards Parade and The Mall brought Olympic Beach Volleyball, cycling and The Marathon Finish to the heart of the city. A temporary 15,000- seater stadium was installed in the iconic setting of Horse Guards Parade for the beach volleyball competition, with 2,274 tonnes of sand brought in to fill four courts.
